How A Mobile Training Trailer Makes Health Accessible For Women And Kids

Lorayne Season 2 Episode 76

Imagine a fully equipped gym rolling up to your driveway, your school, or your neighborhood greenway—no memberships, no commute, no intimidation. That’s the heart of our latest project: a mobile training trailer designed to make fitness accessible for women, kids, and communities that don’t have easy access to safe, supportive spaces to work out.

We walk through the real problems people face with traditional gyms: crowded spaces, uncertainty about where to start, childcare and scheduling challenges, and the cost of memberships on top of equipment. Then we share how a mobile gym changes everything. I bring the equipment, the plan, and the coaching to you—personal training tailored to your goals, plus group sessions for neighbors or friends who want to train together. With simple, scalable tools and programs hosted in an app, you get structure, guidance, and accountability that fits real life.

We’re especially excited about serving schools and youth sports. Many districts want better strength, conditioning, and physical literacy but lack the gear and staff time to deliver it. A mobile gym bridges that gap with developmentally smart training, confidence-building movement, and practical education on recovery, hydration, and mindset. For rural and suburban areas where gyms are scarce or far away, the trailer brings high-quality fitness to doorsteps, farmers markets, and community events—meeting people where they are and lowering the barrier to start.

To launch fast, we’re aiming to raise $50,000 this month, aligned with Giving Tuesday. Donor tiers include shout-outs, merch, and major perks like comprehensive 12-week coaching programs with nutrition support. Your support helps cover the trailer build, equipment, and initial operations so we can scale from one route to many and, over time, build a network of trainers who share this mission. If this resonates, tap the link in the show notes to donate, share with a friend who’d love a mobile gym, and help us turn one trailer into a movement. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell us: where should we roll up first?

SPEAKER_00:

Hey friends, welcome back to the Bite Size Podcast. I'm your host, Lorraine Michaels, and today I'm coming to you. I'm not live, but you're gonna hear this in real time. So today is Monday, December 1st, and tomorrow is Tuesday, which I did not know this day existed, but it is Giving Tuesday tomorrow. And you may have not heard, but I am fundraising for my fitness trailer. So as you know, I am a personal trainer, I am a coach and a speaker and a podcast host, all the things, right? But my business is in health and wellness. And I am a personal trainer and a wellness coach. And so I have noticed that there are a lot of women who don't feel comfortable going to the gym. And some women don't sign up with me for in-person personal training because they don't have a gym membership and they don't want to go to a gym. Some women are hesitant because they're unsure of what to do, what exercises to do. Even though I build a plan and you have access to an app that I use and it has videos. So I do in-person and virtual or online personal training. So you have literally all the things you need in order to do a workout. If you don't have any equipment at home, that's fine. I can create a program for you to do at home with body weight, or you tell me what you have and I can create it for you. Now, here's where this big mission, this big project comes into play. I have been dreaming of getting a personal training trailer. And so what this is, is it is all the equipment I need. I come to you and train you in the comfort of your own home and I bring everything. And then when we're done, I leave with everything. So no fuss, no muss. You don't have to pay for equipment. You don't have to pay for a gym membership. I come to you and I train you and you get a great workout and I bring everything. We can do it indoors, we can do it outdoors. And so it also allows me to do group fitness. So if you live in a neighborhood where there's other moms or neighbors where you want to work out together and you don't want to go to one of those box gyms, like I'm not gonna name them, but anyways, you know, there's box gyms. I'm not throwing any shade on any of them. I love them all. Um so yes, I can come to you. We can do group training. Uh, I'm also wanting to get into schools because it's my desire to educate and train up children in the way that they should go, right? We, my big vision. This is why the name is what it is. It's armor up fitness, right? We need to train up our children in the way that they should go. We need to put on the full armor of God every day. And part of that is being physically fit, being fit mentally, being fit in your health. And so it is the full package, right? I I teach about physical fitness, mental fitness, your health. And so my vision is with this trailer, I can come to you with one-on-one training. I can go to schools and I can help with youth sports and conditioning and helping the kids in that way. I can go to pop-up events, fairs, farmers markets, what have you, different things. And I can bring this mobile gym with me wherever and I can help more people. Also, being in the south and in somewhat of a rural rural area, some people don't have access to a fitness center. There's some people that live out in the country near me and they don't have access or they don't have equipment at home. Again, I can come to you. I bring you everything you need to get an amazing workout and I train you. So the mission, my goal is to raise$50,000 in a month. And I am on a mission, and I am asking you wherever you are, whoever you are, listening to this, there's no mistake. You might not be the one that's donating, but you know someone who is wanting to donate to an amazing cause. And this, my friend, is an amazing cause. I am bringing health and wellness out beyond the walls of a gym. I am making physical fitness and health and wellness accessible to everyone. Now, I'm only one person, right? I can't train everyone. I know that. But my vision of this trailer is that it just gains momentum and people know and hear and learn about armor up fitness. And then it's not just one trailer, it's multiple trailers. And then I have other trainers, and then it becomes a movement. Um literally, like I don't, it's a not even a play on words. I'm being serious. It literally becomes a movement to where this is known, and we are able to bring fitness to women all around the world that for one reason or another, they don't want to go to a gym or they're not comfortable at a gym, and they would like a trainer to come to them, or children at school, you know, who don't have access to what being active. Maybe they can't play outside wherever that they live. And so this trailer that comes to their school to train them for their conditioning in sports, or maybe who knows, this might become a physical education program where someone comes and they train kids in fitness. It's this is a different movement. This is a different way of looking at things. PE teachers, this this is something incredible, right? I don't know. I'm just speaking right now all of the ideas that are coming into my mind. And for so long, I didn't want to talk about this because I didn't want someone to take my idea. I didn't want someone who has the means, the$50,000 that they can put into their own business, right? I don't have that. And that's why I need you. This is why I need you to donate. This is why I need you to share this mission. And I know it can happen. And some of you might be saying, Lorraine, why don't you just go get a business loan? Why don't you go get, you know, why don't you can find a loan because because that's not that's not the plan. Because honestly, I don't have peace with it because God didn't tell me that I needed to go take out a loan. It is not happening that way. And I have complete faith and peace in the fact that this mission, somebody, somewhere, a group of people, they are going to see it, hear it, and believe in it as much as I do. And they're gonna get excited just as much as I'm excited because this is so incredible. And the opportunity for this is just so exciting to me. And then you know what? Back to what I was saying, why I didn't talk about it and why I didn't announce it for fear that someone might take the idea. Go ahead. You know what? Like, if you're gonna take my idea and run with it, go for it. Because ultimately that's my mission, right? Is for to make this fitness accessible to everyone, to make, you know, these having this opportunity for kids to get the training and the experience and the exposure to physical fitness at a young age. I mean, we hear and see the statistics of obesity right now in America. And thank goodness, you know, there's a shift and a change, and you know, Maha and, you know, people are taking um taking their health back, and they're really being an advocate for their own health and wellness and not just listening to what I'm probably gonna get banned for this with the CDC is saying. But, you know, um, I'm I'm I'm just I'm so serious right now and I'm so excited for what is going to happen. I'm so excited for who is going to hear this and who is going to step out in obedience and donate to this cause. Who is going to come alongside me in this movement and support me in this and be excited? And so I do want to talk about there's different um perks, if you will, for different donations, different givers. So we have, you know, our 20 to 50 category. They're gonna get merch, they're gonna get hats or shaker bottles or stickers, um, and anything uh$50. Did I say 20 to 50? I'm sorry, 20, 0 to 20 is gonna get mentioned on um our website. And they will have acknowledgement for being backers of this mission. And then we're gonna have um different categories like 20 to 50, 50 to 100, 100 to 500, and then 500 and above. And I'm gonna be giving away personal training. I'm gonna be giving away a 12-week um program, and that's gonna have nutrition and your fitness program. And so if you are not in the Charlotte area to where I can come to you, then I will be giving you a virtual program. And it would be just no um, no skimping on it, right? You're gonna be a client and I'm gonna create a program. We're gonna have all the things that you would as if you were a paying client. I mean, you paid, you donated to the cause, right? Um, so so many different options are available, and I am so excited. And so Tuesday, December 2nd is Giving Tuesday. So it doesn't matter when you're hearing this, you can donate. And I will attach the information in the show notes. So wherever you're listening to this, Apple, Spotify, Amazon, if you go to the show notes, you will find a link that you can click on and it'll take you directly to the donation page. And you can donate any amount that you feel led to donate. And I'm so excited to release this into the world. I'm so excited for this trailer to come to fruition. It's coming from the West Coast, so it's gonna be made in Reno, Nevada, and it's gonna get shipped out here to the Carolinas. And I am just so excited for what God has in store for this. And I thank you. Um, I thank you for listening to this. I thank you for sharing this because um that is what is going to get the word out there is sharing it because there's gonna be someone, there's gonna be a group of people who are going to donate, who are going to get on board with this mission, who um hear my heart behind it, see my excitement, feel my excitement, and they're gonna donate. And I know it. And this is gonna be incredible, and I'm so excited. So check out the show notes, click the link, and donate how whatever you feel led to donate and share. Share, share, share, share, share. Pass it along, text someone, tell them share this podcast so they can hear it and hear my mission and hear what great things are gonna happen. Share the podcast, share the link because the more people know about this, the more this is going to reach and heal and bring hope and um fitness and health to everyone in the Greater Charlotte. And hopefully, Lord willing, there will be multiple trailers, maybe across the United States. I don't know. I'm just I'm so jacked for this. This is so exciting. Anyways, guys, thank you. Thank you, thank you for listening, thank you for sharing, and I can't wait to update you on when this trailer is here.
